HOUSE OF BARTHOLOMEW

House of Bartholomew is a New York-based fashion house founded by Winston Bartholomew Holder III.

Born and raised in Brooklyn to Guyanese immigrant parents, Holder developed a perspective shaped by duality—between cultures, cities, and ways of life. This contrast would later define the foundation of his work.

Originally trained in architecture at Howard University, his approach to design is rooted in structure, proportion, and permanence.

FOUNDATION

After beginning his career in architecture, Holder turned to fashion as a more immediate and expressive medium.

Where architecture builds spaces, House of Bartholomew constructs garments—each piece designed with intention, precision, and a focus on form.

The brand exists at the intersection of discipline and freedom, combining tailored structure with ease of wear.

PHILOSOPHY

In contrast to an industry driven by speed and excess, House of Bartholomew is built on the idea of permanence.

Garments are designed to retain their value over time—through construction, material, and meaning.

Each piece is created not just to be worn, but to be kept.

THE BEE

A 24K gold bee is embedded within each couture garment.

The bee serves as a symbol of investment—representing the value placed in both the garment and the individual who wears it.

It is a mark of intention, craftsmanship, and legacy.

POSITION

House of Bartholomew is a study in modern American luxury—defined by structure, identity, and longevity.
